The NYU Silver School of Social Work is launching a new academic initiative in partnership with NYU Tel Aviv, which invites first year MSW students along with undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in social work to spend the Spring 2026 semester in Tel Aviv. The semester in Tel Aviv will include: Silver-sponsored coursework utilizing a hybrid learning model which includes classes taught by local faculty and online class availability; diverse practicum placements in local agencies, organizations, and communities; co- and extracurricular activities such as tours, site
visits and academic conferences; and, in general, a culturally immersive study away experience that introduces students to the diverse mosaic of cultures, languages, religions, and histories that shape Israel and the surrounding region.

The Program Manager (PM) role will oversee bringing the initiative to life -- from planning to execution. The PM will work closely with NYU Silver faculty and administration at our Washington Square campus, as well as with staff, faculty and local partners at NYU Tel Aviv, to create a challenging and enriching learning and professional development experience that fosters critical dialogue and cross-cultural understanding. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in social work education and practice, project management skills, administrative precision, cultural and global fluency, and a commitment to student success. This program is designed not only to deepen academic inquiry and professional development, but to develop students into bridge-builders equipped to work and lead in a polarized world. The PM will report to the Site Director at NYU Tel Aviv with a dotted reporting line to Silver’s Academic Affairs Dean.
