This is a part-time position 15 hours a week, 9 months (Academic Year 2025-2026). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting undergraduates with their written assignments in various disciplines.
Writing Consultant ensure equitable and inclusive treatment of students and other stakeholders at all times.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • MA in writing, literature, journalism, or in a relevant field or MFA

 

Preferred Education:

  • All or part of education in an American university setting

 

Required Experience:

  • Have active experience in the writing process from the early stages to completed product

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Preferably have experience as a writing consultant in academic fields

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Be native English speakers, or have equivalent command of spoken and written English. Candidates should also have a strong sense of the writing process, be patient and enjoy contact with undergraduate students.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Facilitate and mentor students in their writing pieces
  • Be familiar with writing needs of students with different backgrounds

 

Preferred Certification/Other Qualifications

  • Fluency in Italian

 

Successful candidates must show evidence of their ability to legally work in Italy.
