The RAs are local full-time university students who live in modern, fully furnished NYU residence halls together with NYU undergraduate students and work part-time at NYU Prague´s academic centers. The RAs are expected to live in an apartment in the student residence. An important part of the job is organizing events and trips. NYU employs a team of 8 RAs every semester. The job lasts 4-5 months and is usually renewed for the following semesters.
Primary role of the RA:
Live, be available and present in NYU Prague housing, get to know the students
Be a good listener
Be friendly, inclusive, kind and supportive
Contribute to building a community and friendly environment
What will you do?
Community and Programming Responsibilities:
Organize educational and fun trips and interesting events for the students;
Create a pleasant environment and community at NYU Prague;
Help the NYU students understand and get to know the culture, customs and traditions of their host country.
Administrative and Responsibilities:
Work about 10 hours per week at NYU Prague academic buildings;
Assist the residential and student life staff at NYU residences and academic centers as needed.
Crisis Response and Policy Enforcement Responsibilities:
Know, communicate, enforce existing university and residence hall policies and procedures;
Respond to emergency and crisis situations according to guidelines and approved procedures (help students see a doctor etc.);
